History

Kyriakon School was founded in June of 1996 with the vision of giving a good quality education to children with special needs.The word Kyriakon is taken from the greek language which means "belonging to the Lord". Kyriakon is a non-profit organization that offers an
integrated educational program and therapy to students with a need of special education and various types of therapy. The teaching foundation of this school is to love each other as a reflection of social
responsibility.

Kyriakon School began in a rented house located in Lebak Bulus, Jakarta. Thanks to the support and
help of several consultants, from Indonesia, America, Germany, the Netherlands, New Zealand and
Australia, Kyriakon has grown into a school with an integrated therapy. In 2001, Kyriakon moved its
teaching learning activities into a three story building located at Jalan Kampung Baru VI/8,
Ulujami - South Jakarta

 

Our Purpose

Kyriakon trains and teaches children as early as possible with the following services:

• Individually, integrating education and therapy.
• Helping parents by giving the best service as possible and supplying ample information and
  the most appropriate program for their children.
• Well diciplined and good teamwork between child-parents-teacher-and-therapist.
• Forming a network of service for parents and children, through the use of school facilities.

 

Vision and Mission

Kyriakon School was founded with the vision and mission to take part in helping the development of education for children with special needs. It is hoped, that through the education at Kyriakon, children will be able to become individuals that are capable
of taking care of themselves and able to maximize every potential within themselves.

In addition, the vision and mission of Kyriakon is to give an educational service to children with special needs ranging from children under one year old, to adults
(20 years old and older). Kyriakon also desires to spread to other cities in Indonesia.
